Peta Galloway is an abstract artist working from her home studio in Perth, Western Australia. She loves to layer texture and pattern, hiding and revealing details in her artwork. She is also experimenting with the application of pattern to found objects and nature. A bold use of colour and contrast are a signature of her work.
Originally trained in fashion and textile design, she worked for a local designer before starting her own fashion label at the age of 22. Her label petrafanella featured handknits and traditional craft details and was stocked at indie stores across Australia.
After wrapping up her label, she commenced her new creative journey of exploring pattern design and abstract art.
